The pretty stone factory, built in 1999 with a twin purpose of giving employment to local women of Bhuira Village and for using the abundant local fruit, nests amidst apple orchards and Deodhars in the beautiful fruit growing areas of Rajgarh, in the Sirmaur District of Himachal Pradesh. Rajgarh, often referred to as the Peach bowl of Asia, abounds in excellent stone-fruit(apricot, plum, peaches) as well as apples, pears, guavas, kiwis, lemons (highly aromatic ‘Gal-Gal’) and wild raspberries. Its strategic location allows Bhuira Jams to take full advantage of this freshness and profusion of local fruit. Made by happy mountain women who take great pride in their work, these jams bring the flavor and romance of the mountains to your breakfast table. The fruit used is the freshest and the very best. Wherever possible, jams are made from organically grown, sometimes even home grown fruit. Hand-picked, it is carefully hand sorted and meticulously hand-cut. The process used by Bhuira Jams is very labour intensive but this is its USP - A preservative free, home made taste, full of fruit and natural goodness. With humility, they submit that it is even better than home-made!

"Where all stone fruit is purchased locally; oranges, grapes and lemons are brought in from Nasik. The jams are more than 50% whole fruit, and have a semi-liquid consistency, a true mark of good jams. In addition, they have zero preservatives, and still retain a shelf life of up to 2 years."
