1. Mix the yeast, sugar and ½ tsp rice powder with lukewarm water and set aside for 10 min.
  2. In a bowl mix the Nirapara’s Appam Podi with the coconut milk, salt, proofed yeast mixture and enough water to make a thin batter( dosa batter consistency).
  3. Leave it to ferment for 10 hours.
  4. Now heat a non-stick vellappam chatty/slightly hollow bottomed tava, pour a ladle of batter, rotate the chatty/tava to spread the batter out.
  5. Close lid and cook for 2 min. Remove the chatty/tava from the flame.
Serving Suggestion

Serve hot with mutton or vegetable stew.
